Does anyone know how to make a clock run counter-clockwise?
Thanks, Kim

Just out of curiosity! Why?

I'm thinking maybe you could reverse the polarity from the batteries to the motor to reverse the rotation of the gears! Just a thought! There could be more involved! I dunno!

What powers the clock?  Batteries or an AC power cord. or a wall wart with a DC output?

I just tried putting the battery in backwards on my office clock (cheap one battery clock) and it didn't  run backwards.  I would think you should be able to get the motor to run backwards - I'll see if I can find a disposable clock and tear it apart.

Yea,I tried the battery reversal also to no avail--I will look for an old clock this weekend. Thanks and if you figure it out let me know!
Thanks, Kim

OK, just tore a perfectly good working clock apart and took a look at it.

The clock I had has I small battery powered movement.  Inside the case are a bunch of gears (which of course all fell out) and a small circuit board.  On the board there is a small processor and a motor (or slenoid, can't really well which because its small and embedded).  I coudn't see an easy way to reverse the operation of the clock.  I couldn't find the connection between the electronics and the gearing.  After watching the clock run I think it's more of a solenoid because you can feel the movement pulse every second, instead of it just being a smooth running little motor.  I'm sure all clocks will be different.
