Hello, I would like to use the remote start portion of the viper 5701 only. Using fortin sl2 module. What wires get used? Does anyone have info on 08 4runner?  Thanks much.

(6) On some 4Runner, the tach signal is on a BLACK/ White above the BLACK/ Orange in the same Blue connector

Also, will derected techs provide vehicle specific wiring diagrams for this alarm?  I was hoping they would. What I could really use is a specific diagram for which wires go where, is it just a t tap or cut and splice. any help? thanks much

I am not a dealer, thats the problem, and I always solder and shrink wrap where I can. A portasol makes things alittle easier. Any pics would be great.

Be advised the factory remotes are not going to work whenever you remote start this truck. You will have to use a key in the door. You may consider connecting the keyless wires on the 5701...

agreed with monty.

DEI doesnt know all the problems and questions real DIY people have.

the can-sl2 will do the door locks for you through CANBUS.

if you need a wiring diagram, if you purchased your CANSL2 at a store, look for a small card (size of credic card), go to www.wirecolour.ifar.ca and type in the serial number for your car. Only selected bypasses have those, but if your a dealer you get infinate number of them.
