Just got an 08 altima with inteligent key. I have had remote strats in all my cars.  So i would love to put it in the altima but use the inteligent remote only.  I dont want to carry around 2 remotes. can this be done?  I know a while back i saw hardware that would use your oem remote to start the car.  Has any one done this?

Thanks

Mike

If you don't mind being limited to the range of the OEM remote then it will work.  If you want longer range you'll need a new remote.

any unit from a reliable company will do. many prefer DEI products, some audiovox, and compustar for myself.

Those units have an Activation INPUT into the module also.  Set it to like 3 pulses and hook it to the lock motor circuit (?)

yeap, thats exactly how i would do it.

also, the remote, you can leave one at home and an extra on your keychain incase you wan tto start the car from a real long distance away.

you can use a avital 4003 to add to your factory keyless

you can use a avital 4113 its just a 1 button remote not to big either with better range

I would use an idatalink module for that car we use them all the time with very little issues

www.idatalink.com or www.flash-it.com (also idata just stamped for audiovox)

i second the avital 4103 suggestion. i've done about 10 of these this year all worked great and happy customers. only difference is i use the dlpk for this car.
