Are you sure this isn't an auto or they've (illegally) wired it as an auto and you're pressing the * button to activate R/S rather than the manual transmission enable.

Hi, I am in North Wales place called Llandudno.

the way I activate it is:

start the car

press *

remove key

exit car

arm car

and the engine keeps running, I am sure it is ment to stop cut off at this point

thanks for the fast reply :)

OK you're activating the remote start itself rather than the remote start enable. Bet you can press the * at any time and the car will start! Very naughty if it's a manual.
What alarm is it? Concept 300?

What my car does is I can leave it running if I pop in to the shop and take the key with me think its called (stopshop) or something.

My car doesn't start off the key, I have not been able to do this, it doesn't cut out the engin when I have activated it, the rmp drops ever so slightly, but continues to run.

If I have the car running and push * button, I can remove the key and it continues to run, and if I am naughty and put it in 1st gear to stall it to see if it stays stalled, it starts up about 3 seconds after.

I have got the Clifford I-950 + Intellistart 4 its on a manual 5 speed.

Do you have owners manual or the valet code. If not the first PM me with your email address and I'll send them to you, if not the second, contact the previous owner.

I have got both manuals the 950 and the intellistar4, the code is on the back of the 950, I have recently ordered a 5 button remote now, so I hope that this will help.

I should get it on tuesday if all goes well.

I got the car from a garage so previouse owner is out of the window lol.

I tired to re-set it through the valet code and now my alarm sequense has changed.

I think I might need the Cliffnet wizars cd and cable now, I seem to of made things worse, typical, and sugestions of the cliffnet wizard software?

Thanks

Yes don't use the Wiz, you're safer doing it manually.
