I have a 2005 subaru wrx sti. Alarm model is viper 5901 and the bypass module they used i believe is a 556u. I just recently got remote start and have been having this problem. When the engine is cold remote start will start the car and within a second the engine shuts off just like when trying to start the car without a transponder key but when i go in the car and start the car with a key it starts just fine. Once the engine warms up remote start works like a charm. I am just wondering what could be causing this?

Was the system programmed for voltage or tach? It sounds like thats the problem. I try to use the tach wire for remote starters....its more reliable.
