1994 c220 mercedes window rollup module h

I am using the orange wire from my alarm that was for the starter kill for my ground input when armed on the window rollup module, have my window roll up/down wires found but they are 12v when ign on and go to ground when working the switch, i tested my window module and it throws 12v do i need to reverse that in order for it to throw ground instead of 12v?Brian Depew

What model window roll up kit are you using? The ones I've done, have me cut the wires at the switch, and the module acts like a relay. Do you have a wiring diagram of window roll up kit? If so, could you post? and I could walk you through it.~It's me!

I dont have the wire diagram for the module, it is this one though https://www.ecarsecurity.com/Scytek-Smart4window-p/smart4window.htm It is pretty simple, has a ground, 12v+, input from alarm and then the wires for the window switch/motor and thats it. I tried just cutting the driver side and hooking up to just that window, didn't do anything when I armed the alarm. thanks for respondingBrian Depew

If you are using the module to simply close windows and roof, a module isn't required. In UK right hand drive it's the driver's side, this may vary in the US...but joining the door loom just in front of the front seat are amongst others a blue wire and a black wire. One is neg pulse lock, the other neg pulse unlock. Extend the pulse on the lock side for 15 seconds, with roof, 8-10 secs. without. Ignore the switches.

No, I am looking to roll up and down my windows, rolling down will be on channel 4 but I want the windows to roll up when i arm and to use the channel 4 to roll down if i want. Also the module that I have will roll down the windows a bit if it gets to a certain temp in the car.Brian Depew

You will have to use something like a pair of 530t s from DEI, set them up as in "positive at rest" and wire to each window directly at the motors unless those readings you took were at the switches, when it will be OK to interrupt your motor wires at the switches. For what it's worth M/Benz, Mkll Golf/Jetta, 95-98 VW Polo a Euro GM and some obscure Lancia were the only cars wired this way.

I just checked my circuit diagrammes, it only lists 95 on and that's data at the switches, the next option, better than going into each door would be to go to the control module, either under rear seat squab or in the trunk.

Early models had the motor wires at the switches, 95 on wards it was data, useless to you you have to find the control module if your switches are data. In other words test, if they are not data, you should have 1 or more browns which are ground, a grey illumination and 3 wires resting on pos with the ignition on. When you use the switch, one of those goes to ground. If that's the case cut those motor wires there.

i have a brown that is ground correct and 2 (up and down) that rest at pos and when I hit switch which ever direction that wire goes negative. But to use the module I have now...I cut and splice the correct wires to each motor/switch...but nothing happens, again I believe its because without the ign on there is no pos they rest at zero and need to be pos then switch to ground to go up or down...right?Brian Depew
