viper 5902/can sl2 d2d compatibility

Hello, 1. Has any one of you installed such module (CAN-SL2) along with Viper 5902 and more importantly used the D2D port? Fortin does not mention DEI/Viper as D2D compatible: https://ifar.ca/en/datalink/ 2. Does anyone have the D2D port pinout for Viper 5902 (could be 5901, it should be the same as 5902) Fortin ships out CAN-SL2 modules with a D2D cable which does not fit Viper RST D2D port, hence I need to cut the cable and attach the appropriate connector for Viper RST. I would recommend wiring it W2W,  it will save troubleshooting headaches.

Does data-link work with DEI's D2D or DBI?

Our protocol differs from the similar protocols offered by other manufacturers. We feel that our protocol is superior in reliability to these other protocols. Timing is essential when communicating in a vehicles high-speed bus so our data-link protocol has to communicate at much higher speed in order to offer exceptional reliability both with present and future vehicle networks. Because our data-link protocol is not the same as the RS-232 offered by some remote-starter brands, it is not compatible with either the D2D or DBI protocols.

Thank you kreg357. I went through Fortin website before but apparently I missed this section. Hmm, so they are clearly say that their protocol is different ('superior'). W2W is then the option, I just need to make sure I don't mess up the wiring, D2D would have been so much simple... Thanks all. Catalin

If you can wire that system into whatever vehicle it is.... surely you can wire the few wires from the bypass to the module without a problem.
