I have a 2005 dodge ram 1500 that I installed a viper 5701 in. Everything works but I can't get my 456l to program to learn the door locks. Its wired up but all it does is keep flashing the led when I try to program it. Any suggestions?

How did you connect your wires, they really need to be soldered.
I haven't used a 456l in quite a while, but I remember the 'programming wire' needs a clean ground to put it into programming mode. I stopped using them because resistors are easier/cheaper/faster.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

It's all soldered. User error. For programming you have to use the actual switch on the door. I misread and tried using the remote. Works great!! Love the Smartstart too! If anyone needs help with this type of install let me know.
Thanks.
