hi everyone.  I'm a newbie, and searched every where on how and if I can program an old Your Valet 552t.  I bought my truck 6 months ago, and just found out that it's installed already and have no remote. the problem is it was made 12/95 and there's no led or valet switch.  all the information I found is on the newer ones have these devices.  I don't want to order the remote (491t) if I know it won't work.  I do know one of the dip switches is for I think " tx learn" if that means anything.  if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

thanks in advance

Dipswitch 4 is for programming a remote if I remember correctly. I think you put the ignition on, the dipswitch in the on position, and push button one on the remote. Its been a while, so I'm not so sure how accurate that is.

I know you said it's been a while ,but do you know if the same would be for channel 3 (buttons 1 & 2 together)?

I know it's been a while, but I finally got my remote (postal mix up).  It is exactly what you said and works great. Thank you.
