How do I program a DEI 555I. I used to know how but forgot, since I haven't used this product in years. Its going into a 2001 Civic.

There are 2 different programming methods depending on when the 555I was made.

1. Insert key into ign w/out turning it on. Remote start the vehicle. LED turns off indicating programming is complete. remove key and test R/S.

2. Insert key w/out turning it on. Remote start the vehicle. LED starts to flash. Turn the key to the ON position and deactivate remote start using the transmitter. Within 15 seconds, remove the key. LED will blink for 3 seconds to confirm storage of key code. Remote start again. LED should come on for 1 second. If the vehicle starts successfully it is programmed.
