Just so everyone knows, the wiring on the 2011 Subaru Impreza is exactly the same as the 2010.
Now that that's out the way...
I just finished installing a Commando Alarms 4000RS with an iDatalink ADS-AL CA in my 2011 Impreza. Everything works but the remote start.
I checked about 5000 times to ensure that I connected all of the ignition wires correctly. The RS is powering up accessories and sending 12 volts to the starter but the engine doesn't crank. After that, the RS just arms and that's it. I verified that the iDatalink is hooked up correctly and it seems to have programmed the key correctly (the indicator is off while idle and flashes green while attempting to start).
Any ideas?

Did you program tach and/or what is the tach setting?

I connected the tach input wire on the RS to the tach output on the bypass module. I then followed the steps on the RS to have it "learn" the tach signal. It did that just fine (single chirp when it learned).

Did you try shutdown diagnostics? It will tell you if it is the foot brake, hood pin, neutral safety switch, tach and some other things that cause a no start condition.

If you have the install manual is there a small section that might say remote start diagnostics or what to do when the remote doesn't start. Usually it will flash the parking lights or if there is a status l.e.d. With your system it may flash it a certain # of times indicating what is causing the no start condition

Does the status led blink when you turn ignition on then press the trunk release button?

Just so we don't miss anything...

You did connect both Starter wires?

Starter 1  WHITE/ BLACK  (+)  IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Starter 2  WHITE/ RED  (+)      IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Did you verify the remote starters +12v output on the 2 starter wires during remote start?

The iDatalink module does not do the ignition transponder immobilizer bypass.  Did you use

a key in the box or a key wrap?

What happens when you start it with the key and then do a Pit Stop ( Idle Mode ) with

the remote starter?

Soldering is fun!
