Hey guys.  Im in the moddle of installing the viper 5901 in my 2006 acura rsx and have a few questions..

I do not plan to use the remote start feature, do i need to connect any of the H3 harness to the car?  Ive connected all of the H1 that applies to my car and 2 Wires from the H2 harness.  The alarm is triggered when either door, trunk or hood is opened as well as a shock to the car.  However when I enter the car with the alarm going triggered and going off, I am still able to turn the key and start the car.  Im thinking some of the H3 wires are needed to kill the start?

Additionally I have not yet wired the included siren or mini piezo as I wanted to see how sensitive the alarm was without bothering my neighbors with sirens going off in the middle of the night..   The system has given no false alarms and only one 'warning' says the remote so I am ready to wire both sirens.. My question is can I simply tap both sirens into the positive wire and ground both black wires in their seperate locations? or do i need to diode isolate them like i had to do with my doors?

lastly, I also purchased the 507m tilt sensor which the directions state that I need to connect the 5901's 'ground when armed' wire. Ive googled for hours and cant find how the orange ground when armed wire should be connected..  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cut starter wire, (BLACK/ white on Hondas) green to key side, violet to starter side. Connect up the red, RED / white and RED / black.
The siren out put (brown) might be able to handle both sirens but it's safer to relay both of them, brown siren output to 86, ground to 85, 12v+ constant fused at 5 amps to 87 and 30 to red wire on both sirens. No diodes required.
The 507M should plug into the receptacle on the 5901, other wise
connect green and blue together then via 2 x 1N4004 diodes in line, bands away from the 5901, join them to the blue trunk trigger. One diode on the joined wires, the other on the blue both before they join. Solder and sleeve.
Red to a constant power and black to either a ground or your orange GWA wire.

This is what confused me in the first place.  At the steering wheel I have a clip of wires (BLACK/ red, WHITE/ red, BLACK / YELLOW/, white, and BLACK/ white) It looks like im in the right place however how would I determine the key side vs the starter side to connect the green and violet wires from the H3 harness..

Thanks for your assistance!!

Is this a trick question? You really can't tell the key side from the starter side? Should you even be attempting this?

When you cut the BLACK/ white wire as Howie suggested, the part of the cut wire going up towards the steering wheel is the key side. Hopefully you can figure out the other side of the cut wire.   Howie is right, should you be attempting this??

Oh wow.. It just clicked.. Every wire on the install so far was just a tap and solder connection. I didnt realize that I would be cutting (in half) the starter wire but now it makes sense that the Alarm brain itself would be the bridge authentication a the signal to actually start.  I was thinking It would be a pre and post existing relay tapping for some reason.

Thanks!!!

H3:

Red connects to Ignition 1 (BLACK / YELLOW)?

RED / white flex relay input? I Dont see this in the acura diagram provided here..

RED / black accessory /starter relay input? Again I Dont see this in the acura diagram provided.

I searched and searched and again return to you guys who prove to hold far more wisdom than can be found on the general internet..

Thanks again!

Take it somewhere and have them put it in. Half of your questions can be answered simply by reading the installation guide. Sounds like you are in over your head.

Thanks...  I did plan to have the alarm installed professionally, however after being told ' we'll have an installer' next week over and over by sound advice, best buy and the local places for 2 months I decided to take a whole week off from work and install it myself.

I was able to get everything connected from harness 1 and 2.  I assumed harness 3 was only for the 5901's remote start capabilities at first, then realized that harness was needed for starter kill etc after I found I could trigger the alarm and still key turn and drive away.

If You, howie or anybody else cares to help I have a few more questions..

After howies and smokeman1's  advice on connecting the H3's green and violet to the starter wire I now have an effective starter kill when the alarm is triggered.   Great!

Today I finially connected the hood pin wire, wired both the external and internal siren.. Everything works perfectly except for this:  Every time I disarm the alarm I get the 3 or 4 chirps while the rmote reports " door open, hood open, trunk open"

I diode isolated both doors (2 door car) prior and didnt get this remote 'report' until today..

I would greatly appreciate any further advice!

Disconnect your hood and trunk trigger wires, one at a time to see if the "warn Chirp" goes away.
