hi all,
Alarm: viper 5601
car: 2004 Toyota sienna
issue: the alarm goes off after about 5 to 10 sec of taken off in vehicle. then I just have to disarm normally(pressing the unlock).
this has happened 3 to 4 times since the install, 6 months ago.
example:
vehicle is remote started, it runs for 3 minutes. then car shuts off after by it self after the 3 minutes, which is correct.
then unlock the vehicle, start vehicle with key, close all doors, set vehicle in drive, start driving, then 5 to 10 sec ofter taken off alarm goes off.
thanks in advance.

if you close the door before you start it, the alarm doesnt go off?

maybe it is some kind of anti car jack feature.... a thug runs up and makes you get out of the running car, once he closes the door and takes off, the alarm goes off.

i didnt think any dei units did this, but havent read much newer install aperwork either.

just a guess
