hey guys
i have a 98 chev pickup with a cm6200 remote starter
purchased a dr1000 from ebay and upon installation found that the idatalink bypass module is using the r232 data connector im not sure what to do here
i tried not using the data and hard wiring to pin 14 but it doesnt work for some reason im assuming it wants to use the dataline
any advice or info would be appreciated

hardwire or w2w the bypass to the cm6000 and d2d the drone.
or you can piggyback the d2d connector as well. the compustar will differentiate the drone and bypass even in you tap into the data line.

precisely.
we did one a while back to test and we never heard of any issues from the customer. he loves it on his is250, plus the install was quick and clutter free
