2011 honda odyssey viper 5901 door locks

Could someone please help me! I am installing a Viper 5901 on my 2011 Honda Odyssey and i cant seem to find out how the alarm's Lock and Unlock interfaces with the Van. I have connected the alarm's lock and unlock to the van's Pink lock wire and the Brown unlock and i tried the white wire also for unlock but nothing works. Any Ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated, Thank you

Are you inside the driver's door lookng for the wires? Did you test the Pink and brown wires to make sure that they show ground when locking/unlocking with the key in the door cylinder? Connect both the brown and white wires to the unlock wire with diodes (stripe facing towards Viper unit) and set the unit to double pulse unlock (should be in the programming options).Kenny

Thank you for the reply Offroad and yes i am inside the drivers door checking the wires. I thought i would start there and then chase them back to the fuse box or the drivers kick panel or something. The funny thing was i tested the wires by hitting the lock and unlock button on the drivers door and all times i didn't see any negative output from the switch. Thanks again for the reply!

You most likely won't be able to trace them back and will have to run the wires into the door. I've tried tracing them back to even just the door boot (or molex plug) and I've never had any luck. If you have a molex plug in the door jam, search this site for how to get through the molex plug. There is a very nice write-up for it.Kenny

Or to make your life a heck of a lot easier you can pick up an idatalink bypass (ADS-DLSL CA2 ) that will make the install "easy". The bypass is data controlled so it will integrate all of the following for the install: data immobilizer (no key required for installation) lock unlock & priority unlock trunk/hatch release factory arm and disarm door status trunk status hood status tachometer foot brake status ebrake status VSS Status mileage information Which will leave the only connections made within the car: Main ignition wires Parking lights ground Data connections from bypass to vehicle. Which means no need for running wires into the door.Kenny

the keyless module is built into the window switch. it receives the analog signal at the door cylinder, then its data from the switch into the vehicle. use a fortin evo-can or idatalink ads-al-ca as kenny suggested. either will work. the fortin evo can is the more cost effective route.Ted

Thanks guys the bypasses mentioned are new to me i have never used one of those before. I usually use Xpresskits, like with the Odyssey i used a Xpresskit PKAll to bypass the Van's Immobilizer system so the remote start works. I also have found and the door triggers and with a few diodes those all work fine. Now i am just trying to get the door locks right. Since I already started with the Xpresskit bypass it would kind of be a waste of money if I purchase another one. Anymore ideas on the door lock would be great and Thanks Again for the replies, Well appreciated

run 2 wires into the driver door, lock PINK (-) unlock BROWN (-) DISARM WHITE (-) all 3 wires are in the driver door window switch harness. diode isolate white and brown diode band facing unit, use 1n4004Ted

Thanks For the reply but is it possible to locate those same wires inside the Van rather than having to run wires into the Drivers door. I also have another issue the factory alarm seems to be going off during remote start even though the engine starts up. I was wondering if it's possible to use the Alarms factory disarm wire and a relay to pulse the Van's white disarm wire during remote start if that would be more likely to work. Thank you!

use a data module for door locks or run wires into the door. if you actually read my previous post, you will know why you cannot get the lock wires inside the car.Ted
