If you remote start the vehicle while you press the clutch, does it start?

Yes it starts with the clutch in...I'm wondering if it needs to see a certain resistance value...

Are you sure you have the right clutch wires ? Disconnect the clutch wire connector and see if it still starts. If it starts then you have the wrong clutch wire.
Also, how did you test for the proper wire ?

If your vehicle is outfitted with cruise control, as stated above, there are 2 clutch switches. One to notify the cruise that you pressed the clutch, this happens at the beginning of the cycle. Second switch is the one you need, it is only activated when the clutch is fully depressed.
