What bypass module are you using? If you don't have one yet, I suggest picking up an ADS AL-CA with the DL-HA2 firmware (will have to either find the unit pre-programmed or have a local shop program it for you). It will give you door locks, factory alarm, hood pin, trunk pin, door pin, and the immobilizer all through data which will make the install much easier (less wires to connect in the vehicle)

vendor told me bypass module wasnt needed with this prestige aps997c alarm kit. darn it. . they offer a flashlogic flcan module. will that work? and thank you for the wiring diagram. im a Toyota/Lexus tech since 94 just recently jumping into aftermarket alarms. just trying to help a friend here at his shop. im thankful you are so helpful.

I don't have an install manual for that unit so I can't really help you there. The FL-Can will work similar to the one I posted above but make sure they flash it with the DL-HA2 firmware. Then just follow the install manual that should come with the fl-can.

The FLCAN bypass module flashed with the ADS AL(DL) HA2 firmware supplies a combined door status signal and a trunk status signal.  See the Type 3 install diagram for the FLCAN.

If you want to combine those two signals into one input for the APS997c, use two 1N400x diodes( x=1 or 4 ) with the band towards the bypass module ( band away from the APS997c ).

Soldering is fun!

Yea, the new data modules are very nice with all the extra outputs they supply (door triggers, door locks, etc)
