I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab. I Installed remote starts for six years (02-08). ive been out of the game ever since doing home automation. Well I decided to pick me up a truck and put remote start on it.
I bought a:
Viper 5704
Omega DB-GMDLBP
2 530t window modules
Question is more directed at the omega. I installed it and have never been able to get it to respond to the vehicle Platform type. I need to change it to platform 4. That being said. The truck remote starts no problem. it locks and unlocks no problem. The door triggers is where im having trouble. Drivers door trips the viper alarm. Passenger door trips the viper alarm and factory alarm. Rear doors dont trip anything. I can get to the programming features of the omega by holding down the programming button for 2 seconds. When I try and do step #1 action 2 on the omega instructions i get no flashes no no response from the omega.
On the omega i only connected
Brown to Dark Blue (H2/9 Viper)
Violet to Pin 2 (truck harness)
Pink/white to Green (H2/6 Viper)
Red and black to power and the locks straight up
Window modules have not yet been installed. any heads up on those is appreciated.

When you attempt to reprogram the module, did you disconnect it from the Data Bus? Not sure it will make any difference, but the install instructions, seem to go out of the way to point that out, get it all set up, then connect it to the data bus.

You can do step #1 again unless you first reset Feature 7.

Step #1 does not use the hold for 2 seconds to enter. That is only for programing features 1,6,7

Awesome so i was able to get onto platform 4. Now when i lock the factory horn honks. Also when i trip the alarm the factor alarm goes off along with Viper. Rear doors still dont trip the alarm. any thoughts?

The bypass dosen't support those functions in platform 4 only 2 & 3, under "TECH NOTES". Will need to hard wire triggers to viper.

That's what I figured. What about the factory alarm honking when I arm and going off when door is opened
