I was wondering if anyone has the procedure to program the option 2 menu using the two way remote...

This unit was professionally install (the first one for the installer)

I really want to get the timer start feature to work at a preset time once in a 24hr period...

So I know I need option group 2 - 06 and I am pretty sure level/option 3

Currently the vehicle is starting every 3 hours which I think means 2 - 06 level/option 1 (default)

The one on the left is the one I have, I also got the one way but it's not coded to the system (the system is the Startit) as I only needed remote starting with a lot of range.  Needless to say the range is NOT good... compustar 2w901r ss programing? -- posted image.

I knew I forgot to add something!  The user manual tells me how to enter the option 2 menu by pushing the funtion button and start button for 2.5 sec.  The park lights flash once then I don't know what to do next...

How much range are you looking for as the left remote should be good for a mile. But depending on other things range can vary.

The range isn't very good, I used to have a Prime remote starter and it was amazing...

I am little dissapointed in this system.  The wife has the exact system in her car and I have yet to take it to work and try it...

Her remote shows more bars than mine and they are both in the driveway!!  Go figure

Do you have a tint strip on the windshield where the antenna is? Some tint strips are metallic and can drastically cut down on range. Also make sure the antenna plugs are tight and the antenna isn't pinched anywhere.

No tint strip on the windshield...  Except for some of the factory matrix (about 1/4 inch above the anenta)

The front driver's side and passenger side windows are however tinted...  This is also on a pickup truck with a canopy on the back (four door crew).

Come to think of it, the factory remote start (one way) was horrible!!  We are talking maybe two or three car lengths away before I could remote start it!

This is the main reason I went with the pro-series, I told the installer I wanted MAX range.  Failing the range I went with the pro-series as you can preprogram a start time.

Unfortunely, the installer does not have the right options selected and the truck is starting every 3 hours (while in timer mode)

I don't have the op 500 for programming, but if I have to go to the installer again (3rd time) I might as well of bought my own OP 500 compustar 2w901r ss programing? -- posted image. I would of had money left over for a nice dinner compustar 2w901r ss programing? -- posted image.

I am hoping someone can help me program the options using the two-way remote.  I know the special options menu and the aux you NEED the op 500.  The option I want is in the Options Menu number 2 - 06 and I need to activate option 3 (timed start ONCE in a 24 hour period, NON cold starting)

It can be done with the remote but it is a royal PITA. What brain module is it? Here is the instructions to hopefully help you out. Make sure to wait for each parking light flash... don't try to speed through it.compustar 2w901r ss programing? -- posted image.

Hey Kenny

I am not sure of the unit that is installed.  It ONLY does remote starting so I am assuming it's the CM6200?

I found those instructions online but I don't know which buttons on my remote are I,II,III, and IV

According to the operating guide it tells me to press the FUNCTION BUTTON and KEY/START button for 2.5 sec for option programming menu 2

- When I do this, the park lights flash once (no chirp... disabled?)

- Then I have no idea what buttons to push

My remote has a total of 5 buttons, lock, unlock, function, start, and trunk/hatch

I appreciate your help Kenny, would you know which buttons are which?

I used the one-way remote, two way was too hard..
It flashes blue led when you have the keys pressed right, basically for menu 2 you hold:
Lock+Unlock until blue flashes and siren chirp
Lock+Key until blue flashes and siren chirp
Now, say you're going for for Option 2
You hold
Trunk+key until blue flash/siren
Trunk+key again until blue flash/siren
Now you wait about 5 seconds until the siren chirps back what you will be programming, so in this case the car will chirp back twice, since you held trunk+key twice.
And now, the magic, you must HOLD Lock for Option 1, Unlock for 2, Trunk for 3 and Trunk+Key for 4.
It says Tap in instruction but didn't work for me.. I had to hold about 1-2 seconds and let go. If you briefly tap, nothing happens.
If you get it right alarm will chirp back what you pressed, so if you pressed Unlock(2) it will chirp twice, and you're done!
If you do it too slowly, the siren will sound for about 2 seconds, meaning the entire thing failed, try again.

I just realized you want the timer, which is option 13.. you'll have to do it 13 times!! Count the light flashes, counting 13 chirps coming that fast is not easy... Let us know how it goes.
Also, I could never figure out what buttons 1-5 on the 2-way remote are, they are not labelled with numbers!... not sure why programming instructions give numbers.
