hey guys.
i install a cm6200 on a 2001 kia sephia 4 door with manual transmission. the remote is a one way and no siren.its just remote starter with optional keyless entry.
the thing is i already hook up everything but its still not working.
here's what i did:
(Primary Wires)
- i connect the 2 red wire(12 volts constant) of the cm6200 brain in the red wire of the steering column.
- i connect the yellow/black and yellow(12 volts starter) on the starter in the steering column. i cut the BLACK / YELLOW wire(starter wire) and connect the yellow/black wire to the key side and the yellow wire to the starter side.
- i connect the green wire(ignition) to the WHITE/ blue wire in the steering column.
-i connect the white wire(accessories) to the green wire in the steering column.
-i connect the GREEN / WHITE(parking light) to the blue/white in the driver kick panel.
-black(ground) to the chassis.
Small Wires:
-tach - i connect this in the yellow wire in the diagnostic connector in driver side strut tower.
-hood pin - somewhere in the hood.
-foot brake - i connect this in the RED / black wire in the foot brake switch.
-door trigger - i connect this one in the lt. GREEN/ red wire in the driver kick panel.
that's all i connected and the remote is still not working. even tick in the brain.
thank you.

You need to connect the e-brake in order for the reservation mode to activate. To enable the reservation mode, make sure that your foot is off the foot brake and the ebrake (parking brake) is on before shutting the car off. Then when you shut the car off, the engine will stay running. Get out of the car and shut the door... depending on what setting you have for reservation mode it will either immediately lock the doors and shut off the engine or there will be a 10 second delay before the doors lock and the engine shuts off. Once it shuts off, it is in reservation mode. ANY door opening will reset reservation mode and you will have to do it over again.

You also need to program the remotes to the unit before it will work. To program the remotes, cycle the ignition on/off 5 times and you will hear a faint 'click' from the starter. Press the lock button on each remote. With each lock press, you will see the lights flash to give you confirmation.
Once that is done you also need to program the tach signal. Start the car with the key and wait a few seconds for the RPM to settle, then hold the foot brake while holding the remote start button on the remote for 2.5 seconds. Once again, the parking lights will flash to confirm a successful tach learn. If they flash more than once, it did not program.

The tach learning only needs to be done once (unless it happens to 'unlearn' the tach signal in the future). The reservation mode has to be enabled every time you exit the vehicle if you want it to remote start it. If any door is opened in the mean time, it needs to be reset.

Readyremote and bulldogsecurity wiring doesn't show anything for parking brake. So unless someone with directechs access chimes in with something different, you will most likely have to go straight to the parking brake. It should be the only wire connected to the base of the brake lever.
