I did a r/s awhile ago on my friends nissan 07 sentra. They had the emissions test and they told him it failed because of the remote start. I used an idatalink ads bypass module and i did have to tap in to the obd plug for the CAN  H and CAN L. The only thing I can think of is to cut the wires and try and pass the test, then splice them back once the test is done.Has anyone been threw this before? Does anyone know if my solution will work? Whats the reason for it failing? Any suggestions would be great thanks.
No better feeling then getting a remote start to work right!

Or get an inductive pick-up for the Hi-Lo.

Not "wierd" at all, quite straightforward. we use them over here with trackers exactly to avoid your problem.
Google Sailes-Marketing or "inductive OBD CAN pick-up".

Ok thanks ill do some research. Just in case this happens to some one eles, taking those wires off the obd will work to pass the emissions test. I already soldered them back together everything is working fine.

You would probably have got away with pulling the idatalink module's fuse.
