I'm installing a new alarm in a 95 f150. Everything seems to be working correctly, doors lock & unlock, system arms, but when you press the unlock/disarm button and open the door the alarm goes office. When you close the door it stops. The door trigger is neg and the alarm lead is pos so I used a relay to reverse the polarity.
The truck wiring was a mess. 2 previous alarms were installed and left in place under the dash one partially disconnected and the other the fuse was pulled and siren wire cut. I removed both the systems before I started to install this new one.
Any thoughts on why the system doesn't disarm?

Is it the aftermarket alarm going off or the factory? Did you connect to the factory disarm or just the unlock?

There is no factory system.
If I disconnect the door trigger the unlock and lock work. Still get the 3 flashes on the like on the disarm/unlock.
When the door trigger is connected doors lock and unlock but when you open the door the alarm goes off even though the system has been disarmed from the remote. Pushing the disarm/unlock button doesn't stop the alarm from going off.

Wild stab in the dark but is the unit in some sort of valet mode? Hence maybe the extra light flashes? I buy from ebay but only new items from reputable manufacturers. Hate to condemn the unit but that is what i am leaning towards... new alarm not disarming from remote -- posted image.
