Seeing on some tech sheets about hooking the disarm wire along with the unlock wire? Is this correct?

Yes that's correct . The reason being that sometimes on Hundai's when the car is locked with the key , factory fob or the door lock switch it will not reopen with the aftermarket remote unless it "see's" a key in the door , A relay and three diodes needs to be integrated with the unlock and disarm wire for the aftermarket remote to work .

You shouldn't need to connect the unlock wire at all.
Send a double pulse to the disarm wire, and a double pulse to the unlock detection (gray), at the same time. This will unlock all doors and disarm factory alarm.
