94 nissan hardbody pickup. Installed my auto page rs720LCD few months ago that came out of one of my other cars. Issue is it has been worling fine for 2 months. When the temperature changed and in the 30's the morning cold start up wont crank long enough on first try. Have tried tach signal and relearned twice, also now currently on voltage sense. Same issue first start in am cranks like 3 revolutions. second attempt is fine and rest of day is fine. Not the end of the world but Im anal and wanna know why. I have the second starter wire hooked up via a relay off the first starter wires control. Thanks

Is there an OEM security transponder on the vehicle?

no factory security at all. Like said works fine except lower temps. I will check my second starter relay this evening to make sure its still functioning.

Does that unit have a negative 2nd starter? Are you learning tach with the engine warm or cold? If warm, you can use the gas pedal to bring the RPM up slightly (roughly 1200 rpm) then learn the tach. If cold, then wait for the RPMs to drop to around 1200 before learning. You can also try using a low diesel wait time... in case something isn't 'waking' up quickly enough.
