I am not sure if Avital uses a speaker or a siren. Very few manufacturers use a speaker. You need to do some research and see what they use. If a speaker is used, the output from the alarm brain will be an audio signal. If it has 12volts DC coming out of the brain, it requires a siren. A siren is a speaker with the audio generator and an amplifier built into the speaker housing. If you determine that it uses a siren, go to the salvage yard and bring a 9 volt battery with you. Cut the wires from a siren and touch the appropriate wires to the terminals of the battery. If it makes siren sounds, it is working. It will not be as loud as it should, since you are supplying a 12V device with only 9V.

avital's website shows a 5303 model but no 3503L or 3503.....

are you sure you have the model number correct?

being a directed product it probably uses a revenger 6 tone siren... unless its an avital made before directed bought them out.

some pictures might be nice

look on page 4 of that owners manual and see if it says "Revenger" under "Whats Included" like the picture shows.

If it does, then skip the salvage yard and buy a new Revenger Siren from ebay. they dont cost much.alarm speaker -- posted image.

I found the owners manual for the 5303 alarm on avitals site. i couldnt find the L model so thats why its important to check your manual to see if it describes the same siren....

SO!!!.... here is an idea ...

If you can confirm its the Revenger....Make a $10 donation to the12volt board PM me you mailing address and i will mail you a brand new in the box revenger soft chirp 6-tone siren.

the pic you showed should list ALL things included with your system but it said nothing about the module, harness, valet switch, LED etc....

have you installed this system yet?

if not, shoot (a better lit) picture of all the parts that you have. I've noticed your manual says "keyless entry system" which would NOT include a siren and is NOT an alarm.

it instead should have a wire (it might be brown) that is noted in the installation manual (not the owners manual) as Horn "-" which means it is intended to avtivate a relay by grounding the coil of the relay causing that relay to honk your car's horn.
