avital 5303 remote start issues

Hi all,new to the forum. I had an Avital 5303 remote start/keyless entry/alarm installed in a 99 Ford F250 with a 7.3 diesel. I'm going back to the installer tomorrow but thought maybe I could pick some brains and hopefully go armed with some info. When I go to lock/unlock sometimes the door locks will not fully lock/unlock,you can see them move but not enough to actually complete the process.I have one door that don't always work,you have to hit it a time or two to get it to lock(it's a crew cab),when the installer was showing me the details he mentioned the locks were weak,I didn't get what he was saying as I told him yeah I know I have one that don't work right but that's not what he was saying...Any thoughts on this will be appreciated, thanks..Phil

I think your door lock actuators are probably nearing the end of their lives. If it has the same symptoms when using the power lock buttons on the truck itself then you know for sure. They wear out eventually from being used day in and day out for years.
