Ok so I have just installed a Viper 5704 remote start kit on my 2001 Chevy Silverado. This is the second time I have installed one of these (did my wife's car - 2011 Galant with no problem) I am using the PLJX bypass and for some reason I cannot get my unit to program. I called the helpline and they thought it was the brain so I sent it back to get a new unit, same problem.
By program I mean when you turn ign on then off and hold the valet button to get it to chirp and go into menu. All it does is give me a solid blue led with no chirps or anything. After I got my replacement unit I could not even use it to pair my remote so now i'm in an even worse position. Has anyone else had this problem before?? Could it be the valet command gadget or faulty wiring? I have checked and double checked the wiring and it all looks correct

All the viper/avital ones I've done need to see an unlock command before it will allow you into programming.

Make sure it's seeing an open door. If you have NEG (-) door triggers it should see a ground on the H2/green.
1) Open door.
2) Ign on then off.
3) Push and hold button.
Test before boxing up.
