Question, so I have my defogger wire connect not to the switch but in a kick panel that goes to the back. My problem, my wife decided to remote start the car and while in remote start mode she presses the defogger and then the car starts beeping (Horn) continuously!. I couldn't get the remote start to turn off so I had not choice but to disconnect unit. Now when I connect all the wires back into it the car starts automatically and will still not turn off unless I remove all wire harnesses to brain. Any idea how to fix?? RESET BRAIN??

First question I would ask is, what wires from the 4704 are connected to what exactly on the car. Make Model Year?

That would help! The remote start worked fine before this. I had just finished installing last night until this morning I had this issue. I think its because I didn't connect the defogger wire to the actual switch?

2009 Toyota Corolla. Im confident all of the wires are connected to where they are supposed to go EXCEPT for the defogger output which I had connected to a Black wire in a 5 pin harness in kick panel.

Your listing for connections are vague. I would say to disconnect the defrost connection you made. See if the problem goes away.

Im sorry. I did disconnect that defog wire. I feel I connect something wrong and the brain is malfunctioning. There a way to reset the brain completely?

Will do. One more question for you, How do I access the program menu to change the defogger 2nd status to latched? Do you have a procedure? I can't seem to find this info anywhere.

If you list all of your connections from the remote starter to your car, it might give an idea what might be wrong.
