Hi Everyone
Last July 2014 I bought a Compustar FT-7000AS-Cont, PRO 2-WAY 901 + FT-EZGO + OP500 on Ebay USA and have it installed professionally here in the Philippines for my 1990 Toyota Corolla Wagon (Manual Transmission).
Just to give you a history, unfortunately for me there are no authorized dealer accredited here in the Philippines but I have it installed by a professional car alarm installer but due to advance technology of the module they can't make my remote start work but everything else work like the lock and unlock features and stuff.
After a week I have it check by another professional car alarm installer and they told me that the CN1-4 (Default Accessory) and CN1-5 (Default Ignition2) was not connected. After they connect it, I can now activate the reservation mode and remote start my car.
Unfortunately, something in my car wiring was grounded (probably the power lock), later that night my engine died and I got stuck on the road, no electricity coming from my battery but my battery is fine. I waited for a qualified electrician the next morning and they bypass the relay in my alarm module so I can start my car. Long story short, I had my car generally rewired to permanently fixed my electrical problem since this was the second time in a month I had an electrical problem in my car.
After the general wiring, I can't seam to activate the reservation mode, but everything else is working, I had my car checked by 3 different professional car alarm installer and they told me probably my car module (Compustar 7000-AS) is probably broken.
I ask a credible Toyota car specialist to add a wire from voltage gauge for my alternator sensing instead of tach sensing and after reprogramming the module to use the alternator sensing using the OP500 it still won't activate my reservation mode.
I also tried activating the turbo timer using the OP500 and activate the turbo timer in my remote and the engine dies as soon as I turn of the key.
Is it possible that my Compustar Module is busted?
Here are the wires that is currently connected,
CN1 (High Current Ignition Harness):
1 - Red (12V Constant) - 12V Constant
2 - GREEN / WHITE (Default Parking Light) - Parking Light
3 - RED / White(12V Constant) - 12V Constant

CN6 (RS232 Data Port 2)- Not Use
CN7 (RS232 Data Port) - Not Use
CN8 (Thermister Port) - Thermister
CN9 (4 Pin Antenna Port)- Not Use
CN10 (6 Pin Antenna Port) - FT-EZGO (PRO 2-WAY 901 antenna is connected to FT-EZGO Antenna)
CN11 (Lock Harness Port) - Not Use
CN12 (LED Port) - LED Light
CN13 (RPS Port) - Not Use
CN14 (FT-DAS Port) - FT-DAS
CN15 (Auxillary Sensor Port) - Not Use
Regarding the Anti-Grind Relay the 4 professional installer told me it is working since I can't start the car when the car is Armed and it sound of the alarm.
Here are additional question I have:
1. Does Ignition 2 same with Ignition wire? 0V OFF, 0V Accessory, 12V Ignition, 0V Crank, 12V Back to Ignition.
2. Do I need to connect CN5-17, CN5-18, CN5-20? If yes, where do I connect it?
Thank you very much.

Okay so a few problems i see so far.
1) Tach wire is at the fusebox or at the distributor. voltage sensing is not a possible option for manual transmission.
2) The starter relay is correct if during armed mode it will not engage the starter. If your car became immobilized out of the blue, your relay might be latching due to it being faulty.
3) use the OP500 change it back to tach or follow option table programming. Reprogram tach. In order for reservation mode to set, you need door trigger, ignition, tach, foot brake.
Look at the brain and make sure the grey 20pin is plugged into the grey port. The 20pin black connector next to it is for the blade. I've heard of accidental mistakes on that part.
Check functionality of your door pin with the 901 remote. Open driver door, press the start button once for status update. It should flash the door. Close and test again (shouldn't flash on 901)
CN5-18 MUST BE CONNECTED. Black Driver fuse box or engine distributor harness.

Hi Ted,
Thank you very much for your reply.
1. Alternatively I have chosen the Alternator Sensing because when testing the Tach Wire that was tapped from the Tachometer Gauge my multi-meter tester shows the AC Voltage is 30 on idle and it won't go up and down when Reving, just plain 30.
I asked to wire it from my voltage meter gauge and use the alternator sensing instead, but I guess the wire connection is wrong because on ignition it shows 12V instead of 4V (according to the manual) and 14V when the car is running.
Will tapping a voltage meter for alternator sensing will work? If not I'll ask a professional to wire the tach wire directly from fuel injector or the computer box if it is possible.
2. Starter Relay is correct, when armed I can't turn on the engine and the alarm sounds and I got a notification in my remote.
3. Grey 20 pins are securely in the port. Door triggers are correct because when I left the door open and arm the car it shoes that my car door is open.
Again thank you very much!

the most important wire for manual transmission is the tach wire. Without it reservation just will not enabled.

Hi Again Ted,
The first time it work the installer tested the tach wire connection and when reving the test meter goes up, but know it is on idle at 30V. Though my Tachometer is working fine, I don't know how to properly connect the tach wire.
Do you know where is the fuel injector wires located in a 1990 Toyota Corolla Wagon, my engine is 4-EFTE Turbo
Thanks

hey kabayan,

get your tach wire from the ignition coil or fuel injection. use the wire that are not in common. check also your DAS sensor (red connector), without this sensor car won't activate the reservation mode.  check your door trigger, u can also use the domelight supervision to connect to your cm7000 door trigger. for the turbo timer, if you activated this one using the op500 programmer, you have to turn on the turbo in your remote. Press F followed by unlock to turn on the turbo timer.

Hi Tianot,
Thank you very much for the fast reply.
Is this my Ignition Coil where I need to tap my tach wire?
ThanksCompustar Reservation Mode Not Working -- posted image.
If this is the one I might choose this one because it is closer to my firewall sockets.
Again thank you very much!
