Greetings,
I'm trying to figure out why I can't get my remote start to work.
Going off this guide from your site:
https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/alarmdetail/2135.html
and the quick installation guide:
http://www.net-import.dk/images/viper%205606v%20installationsmanual.pdf
and even the advanced guide:
http://www.directeddealers.com/manuals/IG/Viper/N5702V_2008_08web.pdf
(I know some of those aren't the exact guide but so far it was all I could find.)
I'm by no means an expert, I know car audio way better than I know alarms. Though I have done about 20+ alarm installs in my cars as well as friends over the years. I've never had trouble with a remote start like I am here, and it's probably something stupid and simple. Here is what I have wired in:
10 Pin Viper harness / Ignition switch wiring:
Pink / Tan-White (Ignition 1)
Pink-White / Black-Yellow (Ignition 2)
Black-White (Key side) / Green (starter key side)
Black-White (Car side) / Violet (starter car side)
Red, Red-White, Red-Black / 12v straight from battery
I have all the other wires hooked up and working fine so far.
When I press remote start on the key I hear the sound of the remote start beeps on the remote.
The dash lights come on like you might expect, however there is nothing happening. No starter click, no engine turnover.
It repeats this three times and after each attempt times out.
It gives me 1 flash of the brake lights after each attempt to start, which so far doesn't seem to coincide with anything in the manual. (Feel free to point me to the right place if i'm missing that one)
If you need more details let me know, i'm pretty tired after messing with this for most of the day.

Assuming a 1996 T100.  All the info I have does not show a Tan/White Ignition wire.

Here is what I came up with.  You definitely want to use a DMM and test / check all those ignition wires.

Pink   IGN1 BLACK / YELLOW

Pink/White     IGN2 BLACK/ Red
Orange          ACC Blue/Red
Green   Starter Black   key side    \
Violet Starter Black   truck side  /   cut wire

Soldering is fun!

Actually there is a Tan/White ignition wire in there.
Turns out I had to use the Pink/Black on the 10 pin viper harness and attach that to Black-Yellow (Ignition 2) instead of Pink/White.
Made sure the programming menu (3,8) was set to ignition 2 and it started working.
Seems odd that the other doesn't work, but I guess it has something more to do with adding a relay.
After training the tach it seems to run beautiful without issue.
Thanks for the help regardless guys! Much appreciated, sorry i'm realizing now I left out some relevant details. Was pretty ticket off it wasn't working.
Hopefully it will help someone else one day I guess.
Thanks again!
