I've got a 2004 F150 with a Clifford Matrix 50.5x installed. It's been on the truck since 2008 and had a few minor issues occasionally, but it's been fairly reliable. My most recent problem started a few days ago, the brake pedal shut off quit working. I can now remote start the truck, get in, press the brake, put it in gear, and take off. The steering wheel does eventually lock. My main concern isn't that someone will steal it, but that I may take off without the key in it and wreck when the steering wheel locks.
Anyone have any suggestions for what to check?
Here's a little back story that may be relevant...last week my neighbor informed me that I had left my lights on, so I went out and checked and only the brake lights were on. That was strange, so I got in the truck and pushed the pedal a couple times and checked again and they were still on. I decided to just unhook the battery and check it out the next day when I had some daylight. It turned out to be something leaning up against the button on my trailer brake control. I hooked the battery up, brake lights were still on, I released the trailer brake button and they went off. So I thought, problem solved, but now I'm having this issue with my brake pedal not killing the motor when the keys not in the ignition. I dont know if these issues are related but it seemed too coincidental to not be related.

They were working properly this morning. I left the truck running this morning and took the keys out to go in the store, when I got back in I pressed the brake and the engine did die but I still was able to take it out of park before it shut off. It may just be time to replace the system, I got my moneys worth out of it anyway.
