I am installing a Viper 3305v(non remote start, just security) in a 2001 BMW X5. I am using the directechs.com wiring diagram as a guide. I have a couple of questions.
1. On the door locks do I have to go into each door with a relay to activate the lock motors or can I use the factory alarm arm blue/red in the door module and the factory alarm disarm WHITE/ black in the door module.
2. For door trigger should I go into each door for the BROWN / white wire or can I use the puddle lamps or dome light?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Use the puddle lamps and you'll have to go into the driver's door for the blue/red and WHITE/ black. Extending the time on lock to around 18 seconds will give you window and roof closure.
Dead easy.

Howie, thanks for the info. I have not done a BMW before, so I wasn't sure. I really appreciate your help.

Use the Violet POS (+)door trigger wire to the RED / blue at the puddle lamp. This will give you all the doors and tailgate, hood switch is already there, plastic on the inner engine bulkhead, BROWN / green if I remember, doesn't matter two wires and one is brown, use the other colour.

Howie, That's great. That will really save me some time.
