I have been having quite the experiance with installing the viper alarm in my 2006 silverado crew cab with a diesel engine.. i finally worked out a bunch of issues i had that wouldnt allow it to perform a remote start. finally it seems to work good until i tested the alarm. i do not have the viper siren hooked up as i dislike the sirens and trying to not draw attention to the vehicle and let others know its not factory. i have a couple issues with the alarm right now and i will list them below and any help would be appreciated. im unable to get specific locations of the wires i have currently hooked up but i could in a day or so.

with all doors open ( with the latches closed/ latched ) when i open the drivers door the factory horn starts alarming. when i open any other of the doors the factory alarm does not honk the horn.. all 4 doors do trigger the 2way viper remote saying door open.. what would cause them to trigger the alarm but not trigger the horn.

here soon i am going to get two diodes and connect the GMDLBP pink wire to the bcm purple connector pin A3 and A2 for the rear door triggers. then connect the Pink/White wire of the GMDLBP to the viper pin 19 of the 24 pin connector hoping it will fix the issue about the passangers doors not triggering the factory alarm

i also wonder if the pin 2 of the 24 pin connector at the viper goes to the bcm C2 pin A8 if that will properly control the rear defroster.

sorry if my post may answer my own question im just new to installing alarms on vehicles that use class 2 to control most of the functions
