Hello,
I have installed a remote start on my friend's 2006 Kia Spectra and wired in for lock & unlock as well, for some reason when the vehicle is remote started it starts and dies right away. then tried to remote start again and sometimes it remains running and sometimes it does the same thing where it will shut off right away. I tried wiring in the bypass but there is no chip in the key so i take it as it doesn't have mobilizer. Also, alarm goes off after it is armed when it is remote started or unlocked with remote start fob. Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated.
Thank You

If it remote starts with the key in the ignition, your problem is likely related to the bypass. Do you have keysense connected?
Also, when you unlock with the remote start fob, does the alarm only go off when it was locked with the factory remote?
Factory alarm arm/disarm are listed as "factory remote only". Scroll to the bottom here:

I do not not have key sense wired in, i am using Compustar CS900 module so which wire should be connected to key sense from remote start?
Yes, alarm only goes off when the vehicle is unlock from remote fob.

i do not have tach wired in or activate on the remote start so it is not looking for tach input.

and this is why it's not working... Compustar, needs tach or voltage sense. The Yellow/blk wire needs to be hooked up

I don't have experience with Compustar. I know Viper (DEI) refers to this wire as status, but it may also be called "ground-while-running". Since your car has a positive keysense wire, you'll need to use a relay:

You'll be able to test after if this also disarms the factory alarm.

Are you sure? because i installed 100s of compustars without tach hook up and it works just fine for me as long as i turn it off and then it only looks for tach sensing unless this vehicle has to have a tach hooked up?

so you went into the options and changed the "Engine sensing" to option 3, no connection? the default is "tach". Does the car over crank? If the car starts and then dies, and you don't have a chip in the key, you have most likely wired the ignition wrong. list the compustar colors with the wires you hooked up to the Kia.
Yellow Compustar W --> RED (Kia ign harness)
Green Compustar W --> Orange (Kia ign harness)
Orange Compustar W --> Yellow (kia ign harness)
Blue   Compustar W --> Blue (not needed)
