With Default programming, Hood Pin input is set to N.O. Normally open while hood is closed, ground when hood is raised.
Hood pin should go to (-) or ground only when hood is open which prevents a remote start up or shutdown a remote started engine.
Remove the ground from the hood pin wire and see what happens. Better yet, install the hood pin. It's a nice safety feature.
Soldering is fun!

Did you change the Viper programming to Auto Trans?
