The alarm you have has to have a HORN honk out put or a programmable siren output. If it does not have either, you can rig it up so that the parking light flash will activate the horn ( but then the horn honks everytime the lights flash ). If the alarm does have a horn honk relay built in, then attach the BLACK/ RED wire from the Intrepid along side all the other ignition wires by the steering column to the HORN honk wire on the alarm. If you do not have a built in relay for this you have to wire in a relay and make sure that the output of the horn honk wire is a (-) for this relay configuration:

  • Horn Honk wire from alarm connects to terminal 85 of a relay.
  • Connect terminal 86 to +12V Constant.
  • Connect terminal 87 to ground
  • Connect terminal 30 to the horn activation circuit.
