I am installing a remote starter/Keyless entry on my 96 camry. My problem is with the door locks. I hooked them up and at first everything works fine. The doors lock when i press lock on the transmitter and they unlock when i press unlock on the transmitter. But sometimes the doors dont unlock when i press unlock on the transmitter but the lights still flash on the car. Once i open the car and manually unlock the door it works again for a couple of times and does the same thing again. The doors always lock. Could someone help me out with this? Thanks

Here is a weird case I saw with my Grandmas keyless entry. Her doors will not unlock unless the car is running. So if she remotely starts the car before attempting to unlock, then they unlock, but they wont if the car is off. The parking lights flash twice acknowledging the command, but they dont unlcok. I havent had a chance to look at it yet, but I have never seen this before. Let me know what you figure out.

I have a 2001 Tacoma, and it does the same thing, it did it with the factory Toyota keyless, and when I removed it to put in a remote start, it still does it.

I realized that if you arm or lock the doors while a any door is open then the doors will lock but when you try and unlock the doors after that then they will not unlock. I guess this is normal but i really dont know. I found out if you just make sure all the doors are closed before you press lock on the transmitter then the doors will always unlock. I guess its like a notifier to let you know that all the doors were not closed when you closed the doors. Maybe it shouldnt be this way but if anyone could give me any info on this it would be appreciated.
