Driver's Kick Panel

Hi all,
Silly question, but when you all refer to the driver's kick panel, is it the one just under the steering column or the one on the righthand side of your foot that starts at your foot and goes to the dash?? - (Left hand side for the US is suppose - normally where the fuses are)

where you feet would kick!!, unless you have really, really short feet then it would be under the steerring coloum

who knows, the vehicles in australia probably be diff cause of the driver side on our the passenger side.
