Tips? Its a Toyota....they don't get much easier.
When did I say unlock was double pulse?

Dome Supervision      use door trigger
Factory Alarm Disarm      blue/black        -       drivers door harness
Brake Wire      GREEN / WHITE        +       drivers kick panel
Tachometer      black or blu/wht              instrument cluster, brn plug
Notes: It is black on the 6 cylinder models, and blue/white on the 8 cylinder models, at the instrument cluster. On the 4.7L V8 can also use BLACK/ blue at coil #1 on the drivers side.
What are you doing to the truck? Alarm, remote start, both?
If the lights have an "AUTO" option on the switch, you will need to factor that in when doing remote start. If the remote start times out, the lights will stay on until a door is opened. If you never open a door, the lights will stay on until the battery dies. Dumb design by Toyota. I can explain how to get around it if you need me to.

nvm...i was searched through a wrong thing...
its a viper 791xv, so both alarm and rs
so i guess its a straight forward install tomrorow.
it would be cool if you could explain about how to disable the "AUTO" light after remote start, i may have to run into it if not next time.

The following will turn off the AUTO lamps after the remote start shuts off either by remote or by shutting down after the programmed time.
86: +12 volts
85: (-) rearm output from remote start
87: ground
30: Drivers door trigger.
You need to use the true door trigger, not the one listed in the diagram above. Remove the factory pin switch to see the color of the wire.
If you are doing an alarm / remote start, its harder. Problem is pulsing ground to the door trigger will trigger the alarm. Solution is to cut the drivers door trigger, insert a diode inline (stripe toward door pin switch), and connect 30 from the relay above on the non-stripe side of the diode. Connect your door trigger wire from the alarm to the pin switch side (stripe side).
Other option is to keep light switch in off position when truck is off instead of in the AUTO position.
