I just got a prostart CT-5000 for my 2003 Dodge Ram.  I have been doing the research on the install and have determined that I need allot more than came in the box.  I have all the diagrams and pics, but they do not list diode # Ect.  Apparently my truck has a security system built in already.  So here is my problem.  Can anyone give me a list of parts that are required to do this installation?  I live in a remote location and I don’t have access to many recourses.  Where can I order this?

Resister sizes (1/4 watt?), Diode #, Relay, and this by-pass module for my truck.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

If it is not broke, make it better.

Is your key grey? If so, a 555C from DEI will bypass the transponder key. If its black, you have nothing to worry about.
Do you have the factory alarm? A majority of the 02-04 Rams I have seen don't have it. Roll down window, lock truck with remote, wait 1 minute, reach in window and open door. If alarm sounds....you have it. Whether or not you have the alarm will determine resistor values needed.

Another thing....anyone have a link to a Prostart install manual? I've seen that brand mentioned here a lot lately and would like to check them out.

thanks for the advice.  here is their website:   http://206.47.191.115/prostart.nsf/en/Prostart

i do have a grey key, power locks but no keyless entry and this is a 4 door truck so i don't know about a factory security system.

If it is not broke, make it better.
