has anyone had n e problems wiring to the ignition of cars with onstar??  I didi a 02 deville and I am getting a code that says service theft system??  If i just disconnect the wires and take of the battery terminal will it reset...if I do disconnect it will i have to deal with onstar coming on and all that crap??  if n e one has any ideas please help

had a similar problem with o4 gtp. what bypass did you use?

actually it was a satellite radio that was installed...I posted it into this forum because i wanted ot know is someone had n e of the same problems when doing a remote start or alarm....that's when it would be most likely to come up...it wasn't my idea to wire it to the ignition.....so that's why I Am asking this question here

I did a remote start on a 2002 DeVille without any On star problems.

With the door closed, crank the engine (don't start or it shouldn't start with the light on anyways) and leave the key in the ignition for fifteen to twenty minutes. The light will go away.
