I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee limited and just installed an Ultrastart 4500XR 2 way FM alarm starter. I bought a JEEP2 data bus interface module that also does the transponder bypass. The problem is when the remote starter shuts off the factory alarm gets re-armed automatically by the module regardless of the state of the alarm before. If it was unlocked before I don't want it to lock after so I don't lock my keys in the car accidentaly.
Is the behaviour of the DEI 455J any different? Where can I get a manual for it? Will it work with my non-DEI starter? Has anyone else installed an alarm/starter combo unit and had this issue and if you haven't then what type of module did you use to interface with door locks.
thanks,

you can eliminate this but youll have to use 2 bypasses the omega DBDLM is a data doorlock module that has a separate input for arm and disarm which you can not hook up the arm part  but youll have to use a separate pk bypass or just unhook the violet wire on the one you have now

This module has an extra factory arm /disarm wire. But regardless of those commands the think automatically re-arms the factory alarm when the GWR(Ground When Running) wire is activated. If this Omega product behaves differently I would be interested in seeing if it works for me. Do you know where I can get more information on it, and eventually where to buy it.
