Hello, I have a 98 cavallier and am installing a CS2011rs series iv with a Omega db-pl2002. I am having a problem determining wich wires i need to tap for the factory anti-theft bypass and wich install diagram to use. as of now it is all wired but the car will only start by the remote every once in a while, usually immediately after it is started with the key.  thanks in advance.

you have to bypass the passlock system.  go to directed.com and look under installation manuals for part number 555L.  the wires are located in the bottom of the shroud covering the streeing wheel shaft into the dash.  if you have tilt on the steering wheel its really fun to take off :(

The car is a passlock 1 set up, make sure you hook up the bulb test wire.  Sometimes you may need to try a few bypass mods,  some cars are very picky on which units work,  and then may work 9 out of ten times.  When they work, they work well.

Use diagram 3 on this page if you have any troubles with a bypass module. I had trouble with Cavaliers w/ passlock I awhile back so I made up this diagram and it works wundyflee.
