RS/Alarm Install problem

  I installed a Valet 554R in a 2003 Silverado and everything went fine except for 1 minor problem.  The "full security trigger" icon is always on, on the 2-way display.  I used a GMDL-BP module for the bypass and door locks.  This problem is not a big deal because I didn't install the siren (don't want the noise) but the weird thing is the only security type wires I hooked up where the door triggers (went to the GMDL-BP) and I also hooked up the lights flashing output up to the white wire behind the lights switch in the vehicle so I can see when it is running.  Other than that I didn't hook up the shock sensor, dome light supervision or anything else that could cause a trigger.  Also, the security light in the factory system never comes on so I don't think it is a problem with the GMDL-BP.  Is there anything that could cause a "full security trigger" if I don't hook it up on the 554R??

possibly NOT having the shock sensor plugged in..or else the wrong door trigger..disconnect your door trigger and see what happens

  I will try hooking up the shock sensor.  I hope that is it.  In the manual you have to open a door, turn the key on and push the valet button to enter programming mode and that works so I assumed the door trigger was working but will try that too because the info. for the GMDL-BP doesn't say if the door lock trigger output is positive pulse or negative so I just hooked it up to the alarm.  Guess I will have to verify that with a volt meter to make sure.

  I don't think so.  The lock signals are blue and green and they work.  I have the Pink/White hooked up to the door trigger input on the alarm.  What could the Pink/White wire be used for if not for door lock triggers???  It sounds like that is what it's for but like I said before it doesn't state if it is neg. or pos. trigger output.
