I just had a Python 881 installed and it works great. I would like to disable the auto locking feature so that I can disable the factory one and then enable the auto lock feature on the Python. Can anyone help me out? I'd rather not have to take the truck in to have it done as the installer isn't local to me.
Thanks.

By "autolock" do you mean "lock/unlock with arm/disarm" or "lock with igition on/unlock with ignition off"?
It isn't clear which autolock you want to known how to disable, the truck or the Python.
If it is the truck, you probably need to say what make/model/year truck it is.

I already know how to enable/disable for my truck. I would like to know how to disable the lock with ignition on /unlock with ignition off. And then how to enable the ignition on /unlock with ignition off after I disable the truck's system.
Thanks.

Go to www.directed.com, and look up the installation manual for the Python 881. There will be a few pages describing how to change the program settings using the valet switch and the Python remote. You'll want to change the ignition controlled lock and unlock to off using the instructions given there, and you should be able to change both by using your remote and the valet switch.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for, Chris. I appreciate the info.
