Ive seen cars that the parking lights stay on for for awhile after the alarm is disarmed. is there a way to do this if my alarm doesnt have that feature?

Yes you can use a pulse timer for the parklights, my ? would be why you want them on so long?

Most alarms have a domelight supervision output which will turn the domelight on for usually about 30 seconds or so when disarmed. You would need 2 relays to relay isolate the dome sup output so that when disarmed both your parking lights and interior lights come on for about 30 seconds.
If your module isn't equipped with dome sup you may consider a pulse timer as mentioned above or get creative. You could wire it up off of the unlock signal so that when unlock is pushed it latches a relay that keeps the parking lights on and then use the door latch wire to undo that latch so the parking lights go off when you open the door.. Of course if you never open the door the park lights will stay on and kill your battery at some point.. Just some things to think about. Good luck,
Mike

Assuming your domelight supervision is negative output, use it to provide ground on the coil of a relay, then use 30/87 on the relay to switch +12V to your parking lights.
