Just wiring up this 555L on my blazer and wonder what I connect this status input to?  According to the installation manual it says connect it to the status output of of a DEI remote start system, but there isnt a wire for that from my G5.  Im wondering if its ok to leave it disconnected?

Ok, I just searched around, and found a few confusing answers.

One person said to connect the wire to your ignition 2, but this wire shows +12v when the input requires (-).

Another person suggested the negative ignition wire, but I wasnt aware there was a wire like this on the car.

2000 Blazer.  I'll go dig some more.

There is a blue/orange wire on the H3 connector of the intellistart.    You should use that blue/orange for your status output (connect this to the 555L)

Good luck

even a factory disarm wire would work, but on most DEI brains its a blue or blue/black wire.
