I installed a Omega Comfort Start in a 2001 Sunfire and now the door chime doesn't work. I didn't mess with the door pins, and ideas?

The door chime works through the speaker system of the car along with the databus wire from the stereo. When you bypassed the Passlock II system, did you do anything to the databus wire ??

if it doesnt work at all there is a problem.  if it doesnt work during RS, its probably because the radios accy wire isnt powered up.  just a guess.  i know the radio doesnt have to be on, but if the whole circuit is off, then i dont think the radio can run the amp to power the chime.  i know on cavaliers the radio accy is seperate from the blower controls, like most GM's.

The databus wire went through the OEM stereo and when you removed the stereo, you lost the door chime function. There are modules available for the door chime to be retained through a special wiring harness. These harnesses run between $ 80 - $100 for this harness. Here's some more information on the system that you have:  GM Class 2 Data Bus Information
