Hi everybody, I've got a 1996 Ford Explorer and it HAD a crimestopper cs-2015fm. Well the P.O.S. finally bit the dust (not that I liked it anyway) and I am needing a replacement. Right now I'm leaning towards the Viper 790xv. What do you think?

Oh, I forgot. In case it matters, the Viper is refurbished but it does have a 90 day warranty through DEI.

DEI is up there with the best. I would go for it but not sure how good a refurbished unit will be compared to new.

it's a good alarm. same one i have... remote kinda sucks... i've had a lot of customer issues with it. get the 791 remote too and keep your 790 remote as your backup.
