Diode Size

What size amperage Diode should be used with relays for Alarms...

The examples on this site show 1amp, And another source said to use 6amp.

What is correct??

OK   I do have the install guide and it does not say. So I am safe with useing a 1amp Diode Then???

in most cases, yes........if you were pulling say a lawn trailer, then you might need to use a 6 amp to prevent feed back and blowing the parking light wire fuse..........you should be fine with the 1 amp diode.......but when in doubt, ask one of us here!
